Frank Bwalya is asking producers to lower their prices because the economy is getting better

He mentioned that since fuel prices have gone down and there is less load shedding, it’s a good time for producers to make things cheaper.

At a press conference in Lusaka, he pointed out that producers should be just as quick to lower prices as they are to raise them, especially since it costs less to make products now.

He said it would be a letdown if producers don’t share the benefits of the better economy with consumers.

Mr. Bwalya also talked about how well the country’s agriculture is doing this year, which should help make mealie meal more available and affordable.

He praised the government for getting farming supplies out on time, saying that these actions are really important for increasing farm production and keeping prices steady.
