President Hakainde Hichilema has encouraged Zambians to get involved in farming, stressing that boosting food production is essential for the country’s economic growth and food safety.
While speaking yesterday at a bull auction in Choma, where he met with farmers from different regions, President Hichilema highlighted how important farming is for the nation’s development.
“Thanks to everyone who came to our bull auction this afternoon in Choma. We really appreciate our clients,” the President mentioned in a post on his official Facebook page.
President Hichilema urged people to take farming seriously and strive to produce more than they use.
“We need to create more than we consume in everything we do, whether it’s products or services,” he stated.
The President also motivated farmers to stay inspired and dedicated to improving Zambia’s food security through sustainable farming methods.
