Former Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp is likely to make a return to Anfield before the current season wraps up, especially if Arne Slot’s team secures the Premier League title.
After stepping away from football following his departure from Liverpool at the end of last season, Klopp has been invited to the final match against Crystal Palace.
He plans to arrive in the city two days before the game and will also participate in the LFC Foundation gala dinner at Liverpool Cathedral on May 23.
Klopp became an honorary ambassador for the foundation after leaving his managerial role last summer.
During a fundraiser in March, Klopp mentioned that he would attend the Palace game if the title is already won, stating, “Yes, the plan is [to be in Liverpool] but not on the bus, I will be there with the people I saw on the bus… I think I will be there for the last game.”
With Slot’s Liverpool team currently 11 points ahead at the top of the table and only seven games left, there’s a good chance they could clinch the title before the final match, allowing Klopp to celebrate with the fans.
Jurgen Klopp picked Nunez over Isak as Liverpool’s signing in 2022, according to Sky Sports.
