Ex-ZRA boss has no president ambition

In contrast to what some people have been saying, former Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) Commissioner General Kingsley Chanda does not plan to run for president in the 2026 election.

Actually, Mr. Chanda is focusing on his personal life right now and has no plans to get involved in politics, either now or later.

These rumors have caused a lot of unnecessary talk, but it’s important to make it clear that Mr. Chanda is focused on other things. He is not part of any political party, and his future goals are about his personal life, not about holding a public office.

After his time as ZRA Commissioner General, Mr. Chanda has been concentrating on his personal life and staying away from politics. In his goodbye message to ZRA employees, he stressed the importance of keeping high standards, showing that he is committed to doing well, even after leaving.

Even though Mr. Chanda has talked about economic issues like debt restructuring, that doesn’t mean he wants to go into politics. His comments are meant to encourage smart discussions, not to show that he wants a political career.

To be clear, Mr. Chanda is not planning to run for president in 2026. He is dedicated to his personal life and goals, with no interest in a political path.
