Given Singuluma, Boyd Mapalo Mulenga, Bright Shikapande, and Justine Chinama have taken Leopard Hill Football Club and its chairperson to court because they haven’t received their salaries.
They are asking for K668,000 in unpaid wages. The court papers say that they were hired on two-year contracts starting in June 2024 and were promised monthly payments and bonuses for games, but those promises were never kept.
The players say they did their jobs well and helped the team win and tie games, but they were suspended for what they think are silly reasons, which has made it hard for them financially. They also sent a letter asking for their money, but the club hasn’t paid them.
Besides their unpaid salaries, they want bonuses, extra pay, vacation pay, compensation for breaking the contract, and interest.
