Government is dedicated to eliminating load shedding

Economic growth is the foundation of our goal to provide lasting prosperity for Zambia.

We aim to create jobs for our young people, broaden opportunities, and maintain essential public services. Unfortunately, the severe drought of 2024 has caused an energy shortage, leading to load management measures that are putting pressure on our businesses and economy.

Our government is completely devoted to putting an end to load management and securing energy to ease the burden on our citizens. Today, we held discussions with energy traders and developers to explore innovative solutions and eliminate obstacles to energy project development.

Together, we will establish a stronger, more resilient energy sector to drive Zambia’s growth and success. Let’s energize our nation for the future.
