Mazabuka takes step to name township road.

The Local Authority in Mazabuka has initiated the naming of township roads within the district to enhance identification.

Mazabuka Town Clerk Judith Mukwita Maambo explained that the council will constituted Ad-hoc committee to engage the community on the matter.

She further explained that the decision follows the motion by Bennie Mwiinga councilor Glorison Laki who proposed the naming roads.

Bennie Mwiinga Ward Councillor Gloryson Laki who moved the motion in the last full council meeting, proposed engraving the road signage on concrete pillars to prevent vandalism and improve durability.

He also emphasised the importance of selecting road names that reflect the cultural heritage of the local community.
