MIRACLE CHIPITO CROWNED WORLD NUMBER ONE IN IMMAF FLYWEIGHT RANKINGS

Zambia’s rising star in Mixed Martial Arts, Miracle “The Queen of the Cage” Chipito, has made history by becoming the top fighter in the Senior Female Flyweight Division, according to the latest rankings from the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF).

At only 26 years old, Chipito’s rapid rise has caught the attention of the global MMA community. Her big moment came after an impressive gold medal win at the 2025 IMMAF Africa Championships in Luanda, Angola, where she defeated Angola’s Helena Sachilombo with a first-round technical knockout (TKO).

This amazing win earned her 1,054 ranking points, pushing her to the top of the global standings and confirming her as a strong competitor in international amateur MMA. Chipito’s current amateur record is 7 wins and 3 losses.

Her personal achievements reflect Zambia’s increasing influence in the sport, with the national MMA team now ranked 14th in the world—a fantastic accomplishment for a country that used to be off the global radar.

Much of this success is thanks to Benjamin Bush, the former president of MMA Zambia. During his eight years in office, Bush was crucial in building the sport’s framework in the country, developing talent, and creating chances for Zambian fighters to compete on the international stage.

Now, with athletes like Miracle Chipito leading the way, Zambia continues to overcome challenges, showing that with determination and vision, global success is possible.
