More than 300 headmen in Monze support Jack Mwimbu for the 2026 parliamentary seat!
More than 300 headmen in Monze District have shown their support for Jack Mwimbu, the Member of Parliament for Monze Central, as he aims for the 2026 parliamentary seat.
Speaking for the headmen, Senior Headman Hakanseke George Mwiinga told Byta FM News that these traditional leaders are backing Mwimbu because of his strong leadership skills.
Headman Hakanseke mentioned that the people of Monze should not trust leaders who do not have a solid background in the district and who have not faced challenges for the party.
The traditional leaders have decided to keep supporting Mwimbu and the UPND government, pointing to the many development projects happening in the district, like building schools, health posts, and fixing township roads.
Headman Peter Hamutinta, also known as Headman Mujazyaliso, said that giving Mwimbu another term would really help revive the economic development of Monze Constituency. He urged the UPND leadership to think about allowing Mwimbu to serve another term to keep the development going.
The support from the headmen is a big boost for Mwimbu’s campaign for re-election, showing that traditional leaders believe in his ability to lead.
