Nkana to fix 500 seats at Levy mwanawasa stadium.
NKANA has promised to fix the more than 500 seats that were broken by their fans at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium during the Kitwe derby on Sunday.
The government said that the damage happened when Nkana fans got out of control while protesting a penalty given to Power.
Club president Joseph Silwamba said they will replace the broken seats and apologized to the stadium management. He mentioned that even though they disagree with the referee’s call, they respect the game and regret the actions of some fans.
Silwamba noted that the trouble started after a controversial penalty was awarded in extra time, which upset both players and supporters.
He recognized the fans’ passion but condemned the behavior of those who damaged the seats, saying it doesn’t represent the club’s values.
