The National Road Fund Agency (NRFA) has announced that it collected K1.6 billion from toll gates from January to May 2025.
According to NRFA’s Public Relations Manager, Alphonsius Hamachila, the agency is on track to surpass its 2025 goal of K3.3 billion.
Mr. Hamachila mentioned that the money collected is being used for new and ongoing road projects and other related activities throughout the country.
In a statement to ZNBC News, he clarified that these collections do not include the toll gates operated under Public Private Partnerships (PPP) on the Lusaka–Ndola road.
He also pointed out that the PPP-operated toll gates include Abram Zayoni Mokola on the Masanganao–Fisenge Luanshya road and the Konkola Toll Gate, which is located between Chingola and Kasumbalesa.
