The Office of the Vice President of the Republic of Zambia has strongly dismissed false rumors circulating on social media, which wrongly identify a young woman in a viral video as the daughter of Vice President Dr. W.K. Mutale-Nalumango.
We wish to state unequivocally that the woman shown in the video is not related in any way to the Vice President or her family. These claims are completely false and misleading. It is unfortunate how quickly misinformation spreads in today’s digital age, often overshadowing the truth.
In addition, baseless allegations have emerged suggesting that the Vice President gifted the young woman $10,000, a claim that not only distorts reality but also attacks the integrity of a public servant committed to transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership.
Dr. Mutale-Nalumango, aside from being a devoted mother, is a faithful servant of God and the Zambian people. She does not misuse public funds for personal gain or to favor her children. Her family leads a life rooted in humility, service, and the core values that define our great nation.
We urge the public to verify facts before sharing unconfirmed content online. Behind every viral video is a human being with dignity, and reckless speculation can cause lasting damage to innocent lives.
We extend our gratitude to all Zambians who uphold the values of respect, truth, and critical thinking in the face of false narratives.
