In responding to emergencies today, he visited neighborhoods affected by the strange blue water to see what was going on and to talk to the people living there.
He went to places like Maitenekeke, Kabungo, Chiwembala, and parts of Chabanyama Ward with some government officials. They wanted to hear from the residents about their worries and check how bad the situation was.
The people were really worried about the safety of the water, which looked weird earlier in the day. The Mayor said they are working with Mulonga Water and Sewerage Company to investigate the issue.
He told ZANIS News that the water should be back to normal by 6 PM today. In the meantime, they are sending water trucks to the affected areas to make sure everyone has clean water.
The Mayor emphasized that they are taking this situation very seriously and are working hard to find out why the water changed color and to fix it quickly.
