The protest by Black Tape’s Grumpy Grannies at the court

They were upset about the punishment given to former Lumezi MP Munir Zulu, but it seemed like they were actually asking him to watch what he says.

It was like when parents tell kids to be quiet by putting a finger to their lips. Zulu has said some pretty reckless things that could cause serious problems in Zambia, and he needed to face the consequences.

The law is like a snake that tightens its grip the more you fight it. Zulu’s hurtful words online weren’t just silly jokes; they caused real pain, ruining lives and making people feel hopeless.

It’s really sad to see older people, who should be sharing wisdom, acting in a way that supports such bad behavior. They should be standing up for the values they believe in, not making a joke out of it.
