Vice President reject claim of government connection alleged freemason conference

Vice President Mutale Nalumango has denied the allegations that the Zambian government gave permission or knew about an alleged Freemasons’ conference that supposedly took place in Livingstone. She called these claims unfounded and driven by political motives.

While answering a question from Nakonde MP Lukas Simumba during a parliamentary meeting this morning, Mrs. Nalumango stressed that no such event had been recorded or approved while she has been in office.

The Nakonde MP had raised concerns about the potential advantages of hosting such a controversial event in a nation that identifies itself as a Christian country.

In her reply, the Vice President urged those spreading these claims to present solid proof, including the specific location of the supposed event and the names of the attendees.

She indicated that the rumors might be part of a larger political smear campaign and warned that such strategies are ineffective and will not work.
